Victoria Hudgins fr the awesome A Subtle Revelry blog (go see!) put together Merrymade Kids - a great fun-for-kids Pinterest Pinboard. I'm a fan of all her boards, so go check them out. If you have a fave Pin, let us know! I have to say the swimsuit pattern alternative fr Petit et Petit + Family* was a really great find!
Everyone in town stop by to at least shake their hands and show them some love - it's a big deal that DSM's got such an awesome shop. Even if you've never skated or never wanted to skate, I think you'll really like Subsect - the best shoe selection anywhere, sweet guys' threads, the sickest socks (seriously), hoodies, sweatshirts even the ladies will love, hats, shades + more. I love these guys + think you shouldn't let another weekend go by without checking them out.
I'll let Jeff give you more details in these next couple paragraphs I stole off their Facebook invite. RSVP here + tell them Domestica sent you! :: https://www.facebook.com/events/550631651634808/
SUBSECT #MARCH8TH PARTY "On March 8th we're putting everything we've got into one night and invited our friends at Domestica and Hill Vintage to join us. This is going to be the big one for the year, so get the night off now and start drinking some water. People are flying in from New York, LA, Denver, Sand Diego, Long Beach, and Las Vegas to get down with you guys. So if you didn't have to pay 500 bucks to fly in, you miiiiight want to show up and see who this guy "Captain Fun" is. Not to mention that Leo Romero, Skatetalk Bob and Ernie Torres will be there grinning ear to ear.
Starting off at the shop with beer compliments of Boulevard Brewery and then barreling across the street to dance with DJ Eight Ten + DJ Al Brown until they kick us out. Heroin Skateboards + Altamont Clothing's Fos is flying out to do some custom art in the store that goes along with a photo show by Epicly Later'd's Patrick O'Dell (What?! - ed.).
This is a 21 and up event, so sorry littler dudes. BUT, there's an Altamont and Emerica Sample sale the Saturday, March 9th with sales on Toy Machine, Real, and Heroin gear and boards, too!
P.S. A brand new Subsect shirt designed by Fos will go on sale the night of the party.
P.S.S. For those of you old enough to get into the Americana at night + young enough to party two nights in a row, DJ Eight Ten spins again Saturday night at the infamous Second Saturday dance party. Bring your big hair.
Don't forget tomorrow'sTODAY'S our 2nd Anniversary Party! We'll have treats at the shop all day, but the really funny fun starts at 7P. We'll have cocktails + food + music here (321 E. Walnut St) til 9P when we all head to The Beechwood for a crazy/fun/soul/funk/reggae/rock/best-music-you've-heard-in-so-log nite at Pressure Drop.
I'd like to send out a special thanks to everyon who participated in our week-long giveaway (and to the Drake Relays for this lovely weather - I swear if the Relays happened in July, it'd be the same weather) and send a special thanks to our Finale giveaway winners, Andy, Carmen and Sara!
We still have the newsletter friends giveaway drawing tomorrow morning, so hurry and get your name in by using the handy fill-in on the right sidebar!
I really hope you can make it down. We're having a little get-together here at the shop followed by the craziest dance party I've ever seen (Beechwood Lounge's Pressure Drop).
If you haven't yet, sign up for the newsletter (at right) and/or follow us on Facebook - giveaways every day next week!
Directing you to the cool A Pair of Pears blog where you will not only find the FREE and USEFUL printable TO-DO LIST (now I need a clipboard), BUT another FREE printable or two to help you have what will most likely be the best winter party on record. Look around while you're there - these two have a wonderful site, are really great designers and really know how to put on a fun-to-read blog! You are most welcome.*
*Really, you should thank A Pair of Pears on their blog - they did all the work for both of us!
