Field Notes National Crop Ltd Edition Box Set

We’re excited to have a very limited number of FIELD NOTES' "National Crop" limited edition notebook box set. Each box set of six memo books celebrates American farmers and the six leading crops they grow. “The National Crop Edition” is available right now in-store and online.

From the Field Notes' website: "Using seven different paper stocks from the French Paper Company of Niles, Michigan (one color for each crop and another for the included souvenir reference map and custom “clamshell” box), the memo books are chock full of information about American corn, soybeans, hay, wheat, cotton and sorghum.

"The text on the covers is in a rich brown and the insides feature light-tan lined graph paper. The six memo books are packed in a custom box manufactured in Brookston, Indiana by Jessup Paper Box, along with the map and a lovely embroidered logo patch for your denim jacket, bike bag, or overalls."

FIELD NOTES designer/founder, Aaron Draplin's collected vintage promotional memo books for years - and based the whole FIELD NOTES line on these seed company giveaways - with this collection, FIELD NOTES gets back to its roots.  On their blog, they posted a sampling of Aaron's collection + a short film for all you curious kids.

Iowan-Made Handmade 2012 Calendars

Pin It January 1st, The Juice rans a "Handmade in Iowa" Calendar story featuring two of our favorite artists, Basemint Design (DSM) + Red Velvet Press (CF) - both of whom stock their designs here.

Basemint's 2012 Year of the Dragon Calendar is hand-screened + the designs are all inspired by one-half of the Basemint duo's recent Japan trip.  There's a dragon, karaoke, a bicycle, a sumo, a video game controller and of course, a giant city-wrecking robot.  Each month can be recycled next year as a little note or print included in that month's borthday gift.  Cool, huh? Pin It Red Velvet Press's retro-office-y Letterpress 2012 Calendars make us so happy! They're colorful and completely handmade using quality French paper.  The Multi-Color Calendar pictured comes with it's own little clipboard which also serves as its hanger.  She also makes a smaller 2012 Pendant Letterpress Calendar, as well as Letterpress Cards + Coasters. Owl Love Print - A Sass & Peril Giveaway

Thrilled to pieces to be carrying Sass & Peril at Domestica.  S & P's designer, Shannon Kennedy seemingly spends all of her time on creative pursuits - she's a graphic designer by day, an Etsy shop owner by night and a creative wonder woman on the weekends.  Her print work is modern + clean without being all serious and stodgy.  I'm mad about her mustaches and my other fav (today) is the flower print - I think it's so cheerful.
